Four years, endless highways, and one tiny bunkhouse that held a lifetime of core memories—and a lot of elbow-bumping.
For the first three years of our full-time RV journey, our setup was cozy, to put it mildly. The kids shared a tight space, and while it served us well, we could see the writing on the wall: growing kids need growing room. We weren't in a rush, though. We prayed, stayed patient, and trusted that when the timing was right, the right door would swing open.
Fast forward to May 2025.
We pulled into a dealership with a specific floor plan in mind, fully expecting to just look around. But the universe—and a little divine timing—had other plans. We accidentally walked into a rig that instantly took our breath away. Everything just clicked into place with bizarre, effortless perfection. The wild part? Months prior, we had filmed several videos about this exact model, joking about how anyone living in it was "living in the Jetsons' future."
Little did we know we were staring at our own future home.
Stepping inside felt less like an upgrade and more like a total life transformation. Upfront, we claimed a master bedroom with space for a washer and dryer (an absolute non-negotiable for mom), while dad scored massive "basement" storage for all his tools. Down the hall, Kimber finally got her own private room and a second bathroom—a total game-changer. Callen immediately claimed his cozy "nest" upstairs and hasn't stopped loving his private retreat since.
And then there's the kitchen—the kind RVers literally dream about. We're talking residential, full-sized appliances, counter space for days, and a full-size pantry that means no more playing Tetris with grocieries.
Four years on the road taught us how to live small, but stepping into this new chapter proved that sometimes, holding out for the right fit makes the journey all the sweeter.
